Activate the Citizen Militia

by Jennifer Freeman

There is no practice America. -- Terry Anderson

As reported on Brietbart.com, "the Miami Police Department announced recently that it plans to stage random shows of force at hotels, banks and other public places to keep terrorists guessing and remind people to be vigilant. Deputy Police Chief Frank Fernandez said officers might, for example, surround a bank building, check the IDs of everyone going in and out and hand out leaflets about terror threats."

Only a government agent or communist could have come up with such a wasteful, anti-constitutional, anti-American, inefficient plan as the one outlined above. The problems with this plan come so rapidly to the mind that the tongue cannot keep up. Based on the statements of the Miami Police Department, it is clear that the people of Miami are facing a more imminent threat than Al Qaida.

Random police raids:

are a blatant violation of the Fourth Amendment of the Bill of Rights;
treats law-abiding citizens like criminals or subjects;
takes resources away from actual crimes;
alters the relationship between police and citizens;
sets the stage for a police state.
The best way to deter not only terrorists, but also rogue governments and ordinary criminals is by activating the citizen militia. Law-abiding adults should be able to receive tactical training from the U.S. government and should be allowed to carry arms as needed to keep our nation secure. If you think this sounds far-fetched, keep in mind that the military and the police force are comprised of average Americans who join on a daily basis.

Enacting the citizen militia:

is effective because it allows the militia to be everywhere at all times, unlike the police;
is efficient because it is comprised of volunteers;
strengthens the relationship between citizens and police;
strengthens the Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights;
strengthens the national defense.
Self-determination is what made the United States the greatest country in the world, not big government. The ability of the people to take care themselves and each other without government interference is at the very fiber of what it means to be an American. The future actions of the Miami Police Department may determine whether liberty is still an idea or just a faded memory.

.
They may talk of a "New Order" in the  world, but what they have in mind is only a revival of the oldest and worst tyranny.   No liberty, no religion, no hope.   It is an unholy alliance of power and pelf to dominate and to enslave the human race.

I think Jennifer Freeman needs to read upon history: most notably around 1861-1865. Since it's been made official policy, that the states are no longer free, then well-regulated militias are no longer essential to their security. As such, the federal government has no interest in any challenge to their supreme authority; even the Supreme Court has ruled that Congressional power over the National Guard is "plenary," i.e. ABSOLUTE.

As such, the citizen militia are obsolete in any official capacity, being a threat to federal autocracy. Any notion that they can ever be deployed as such, is naive to the fact that the United States is no longer a republic, but an empire-- and has been for 140 years.
