The time has finally arrived.December 19th marks the opening of snaring in the farmland zone.
You can check the MN.DNR website for particulars.
The taking of coyotes, will become a whole lot easier, come the 19th.
Land snares will finally become legal in the farm zone, please remember---this is for the use on private property, only.

Bill, I make an awful lot of snares each year. These are sold to my customers. I have not found the need to make any for myself  lol, and I don't forsee any in the near future.
We have always had land snaring in the northern half of our state, the same areas I trap a lot of beaver. I had coyote trails like you wouldn't believe.
Why would I lower myslf to skinning flea bags?????????When I can concentrate on nice clean, sweet smelling beaver?
The snares in the farmland zone is a great added tool, but it is one that will get little use from me.
