I know I can get them in 30gr and 50gr. Can you combine them to make different loads. Like 2 30's and 1 50 to make a 110gr load? 2 50's and 1 30 to make a 130gr load? I'm shooting a Disc Elite.

That's what they made them in those weights for!

Makes for a lot of loads that weren't available except for loose powder!

No, it doesn't matter which pellet goes down the tube first!

The pellets will have one end which is black, this end should be closest to the primer! The black end is supposed to contain a small layer of black powder, supposed to aid in ignition!

do all the pellets have this black on them? T7's and Pyrodex?

I'm shooting a Encore 209X50. I know the Pyrodex pellets have the black powder coating on one end, but I don't know about the 777. I haven't tried it....yet.

Triple7 does not have the black powder on one side like the Pyrodex pellets.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm going to use pellets to start with, make it simple on me and then probably move to powder.

One thing to consider is, you can get a lot more loads from a can of loose powder than you can with the pellets and it cost less for the powder.

I went to Wal-mart yesterday and they had there tripe7 powder on sale for $9.00 a one pound jug. It is normally about $21.00 to $23.00 a pound, I got six pounds. My buddy got the last two. The pellets are around $24.00 for 100 of them, and you get 50 shots if you only use 2 . With a pound, I get almost twice that much. Just a thought.
