Thanks for the responses guys. What I might do is give S&W a call and ask them about their triggers. Maybe they could give me a couple secret outlets that sells (specializes) in S&W triggers. My mother has a Taurus 357 with an excellent trigger job. It has the wider trigger, and darn it, it feels just great! I'm a little jealous, but thats the way it goes. IMO, the Taurus she has looks very similar to my 686, so that is why I wondered about aftermarket triggers.

Mine is a 7-shot. I guess it is safe to assume that kind of trigger swap wouldn't work properly? As I said, I'm not too knowledgable when it comes to these kinds of triggers altogether. But I do follow rules and instructions by the book, so my chances of messing something up are reduced. :lol:
