What is a double clutch trap?

I know a guy who has a triumph double clutch 1 1/2 trap so what is it?

I have a triple clutch jump trap made by the Triumph trap company. It is a #1 sized jump trap, with a cast jaw that has an extra set of inverted "T" shaped lugs cast into the underside of the jaws. They apparently were made that way to increase holding ability. I also have a couple of them in #1 size long spring. I am not a trap collector, but think that the #1 1/2 you mention is similar to these but just larger. Hope this helps.

ive had a cople the triple clutchX traps only real difference is the jaws on the traps had T shaped doble jawed lookin set up only open between the ends of the T's RayA

The double clutch was one the first "double jaw" type traps on the market on was meant to reduce chewing. Designed for coon, skunk and rats and came in both jump and long spring models.
