I am in the market for a 358 Win barrel for a 99 and can't find anything. I originally wanted a nice 358 rifle until I found I would have to give my pension and car to get one. Now I am looking for alternatives. A friend mentioned I should consider re-boring an extra 300 that I have and then rechamber it to the 358 cartridge.
While this sounds simple I don't know anyone who has ever had a barrel rebored. Has anyone ever heard of this and perhaps can give me some ideas if this is a possibility? If it is a posibility, does anyone know of a source for this kind of service work?
