Quality Trigger
« on: December 25, 2005, 07:25:56 AM »
Anyone out there have any good tips/references, as to how to get a quality trigger in the Win 94/Marlin 336 rifles (3 lbs. let off, no creep, no take up.)
If you can get closer, get closer
If you can get steadier, get steadier.

Most that come through my shop are either right at or below 3Lbs from the factory.  Most of them have been older ones though, so that may have changed.  The only way to reduce it would be to stone the sear down a little and the hammer as well.  If you aren't familiar with that process, it is better left to a smith.
