Setting up .22 w/scope?
« on: December 28, 2005, 12:49:35 PM »
I have a Ruger Mark II (45/22, 5 1/2") with a trigger kit installed.  It shoots very nice but I want to scope it for bird hunting and as practice for handgunning with a scope.  What base and scope should I look at.

Jack Weigand makes an excellent scope mount for the Ruger Mark II.  If you are going to be doing some bird hunting with that 22lr then I would probably opt for a red dot site.  I would not want any magnification on a gun that is intended for a fast moving target.

I would go with a nice Ultra Dot sight.  :D
