Under starting load

I mistakenly loaded 40 grains of Varget into about 20 308 winchester cases (the starting load is 42 gn w/ a 165 bullet).  Would these cause any problems if shot?  I am knew to reloading so be gentle.

At least you are not 2 grains higher than max!!   :-D

You are only 5% below the starting load.  Varget is not that sensitive.  You will be fine.   Might even find an accurate load!!

Thanks, that is what I figured.  I didn't have my digital scale calibrated just right and set my powder measure using it.  Then after I loaded 20 rounds I went to comparing the digital and the beam scale and fixed the calibration.  That worried me so I pulled a bullet and weighed the charge - 2 grains light.  Thanks for your help probably shot some tommorrow let you all know if I made an accuracy break through!
