Saw a Mossberg Model 472 PCA lever action 30-30 Win in a local pawn shop for $199.00. It looks like a Marlin with the solid top receiver (drilled & tapped), the side ejection and two piece firing pin, but has a different trigger mechanism. The trigger is attached to the lever and moves with it when the action is cycled, so that your finger never leaves the trigger, kind of like the Win Model 88. Also, it has a rotating safey on the left side of the receiver that blocks the hammer. No cross-bolt on this one.
I haven't been able to find much about this rifle. Anyone have any experience with them? Will Marlin Scope mounts work with them?
Were they made for Mossberg by Marlin? Do they have micro-groove rifling or cut rifling?
Any assistance will be appreciated.
