'Just ordered one of these scopes for a 17 HMR. Can anyone that owns one give me a review? I went back & forth between the 1047, 1048 & 1056. I went with this one, in case I ever want to put it on a higher caliber varmint rifle. I figure I'll play around with the dots on the HMR to get a feel for the effect of the wind on the little .17 bullet. I doubt I'll ever use the elevation dots. By the way, does the reticle on this scope adjust with magnification, or is it set to read at only one fixed magnification (10x?)
