OT: Still in La
« on: December 28, 2005, 03:29:35 AM »
Hey guys.  Just thought I'd check in and let you know what I'm up too.

I'm still down in La with Blackwater.  I've been team leader for a couple of different sites down here.  First place I was at was Franklinton La.  We were there for about 90 days.  FEMA closed that site down, and I was sent to be the team leader at a place called Greensburg La.  This place is the armpit of the world.  The Sherrif is under federal indictment (and he's the third sheriff in a row to be indicted for something).  There's meth labs all over the place.  And, at any given moment, you can see the inmates from the jail can be seen driving around in the patrol cars.  It's pretty messed up.

That site closed on the 22nd though.  Now they're sending me to a place called Covington La.  I'll be the team leader there.  Covington is a little bit bigger town about 15 minutes north of Lake Ponchatrain.  It'll be a good gig.

Anyway, I haven't checked in for a while, just thought I'd let everyone know what I'm doing.

Wes,
Good to hear from ya man! Sounds like you will have plenty of stories to tell (along with the many you already have from Iraq) WOW!! So young, and so many adventures! Take care man.
Like everyone else I'm wondering if you're gonna make it in for the PD shoot, but if ya don't, I know Dano and the crew can handle it.
