PSE Kingfisher --- Bowfishing --- Unstringing
« on: December 04, 2005, 02:02:39 PM »
Bought a Kingfisher for bowfishing and it will get knocked around in usage on the boat.  I keed to know how often I need to unstring it and can it be stored on boat protected but still outdoors. I know that this is no way to treat equipment but this sport is kind of rough on bows and such.........Hal

I wouldn't leave the bow strung indefinitly, but it can go for a day or two with no problems. Of course if the bow is left in an area where it gets pretty hot (like in a boat) the limbs could get warped if left there. If I'm not mistaken the limbs and riser are made of manmade materials so they should be able to handle the conditions that bowfishing entails. Keep the string waxed up real good and you should have no problems with the bow.  Worm
