Kinda OT--- but i must vent

This is NOT aimed at anyone person so please don;t take it that way.

Why is it that when some people get a new gun - Rifle . Handgun or shotgun the first thing they do is wipe down the outside and start shooting , The next thing is my gun will not cycle , my run will not group , my gun will not eject .  :(

The reason i bring this up is my friend just came by to see if i could fix his new 10/22 , Would not elect empty casses .

You would not beleave the junk still in this rifle , it will take a 1/2 can of break cleaner and a brush to get it all.

I feel better now , Do gun makers need to add a sheet with very big letters saying CLEAN ME or what

My two handi rifles were pretty good I thought. No matter if I bought a rifle, shotgun ect I always went through them good and while I was at it I cleaned them.

I followed the words from all y'all.   Brake parts cleaner and compressed air and just a touch of lube to keep the rust out.  Also remembered to dry patch before heading out.  All was fine.  Must have missed a bit of oil on my Tracker I barrel because it hung up ejecting after a couple shells.  A shot of Lock eze and a couple good puffs of air and that was fixed.  Thanks to all of you, I knew where to look, what to look for and how to fix it, when that shell didn't eject.
I guess some guys just don't get it.
