460 S&W
« on: January 17, 2006, 11:23:07 AM »
does anyone have a good load for the 460 S&W?
i have been trying H110 and Lil'Gun and the best i can get is 2100fps with the Barnes 200 gr bullets.
would like to find a load that at least duplicates the Hornady loading.
any other suggestions for powder?
any other manuals have load data?
put em where you want em

There are no manuals with the 460 Mag listings. Call Hornady and see if they will help or call Barnes up.
I am not concerned with velocity from the 460 Mags as I am with accuracy. I am shooting some 240 gr. Hornady XTP mags in my 460 and have great accuracy. I one hole at 25 yards with them. At 50 yards I am getting 1 inch and smaller groups. I will be going to the range to see what my 100 to 200 yards accuracy will be like. I am also getting great accuracy with the Nosler Partition 260 gr. bullets also. I am using H110 for all my 460 loads.  :D
If  you're going to make a hole, make it a big one.
