pond beavers
« on: January 10, 2006, 04:44:22 AM »
Ive trapped a lot of beavers but usually in swampy areas and rivers/creeks.  I have a paying job where these folks want me to get the beavers out of their 4 acre pond.  There is very little sign but there is some....they have seen 2 beavers, so Im thinking there is just a pair that have moved in.

The beavers  have made a feed pile next to the bank and have began building a lodge right next to it with old sticks and piling a lot of mud etc on top of it.  There are a few obvious places the leave the water to access the top of the lodge.  BUT the entrance must be deep under because i cant find any obvious holes to stick a #330.

SO my question is this---what is my best bet to remove the beavers?
I have mb 750 for the take out places---maybe make a couple castor mounds on each side of the lodge??  How far from the lodge??  Maybe use some mound master on top of the lodge and block every assess to it with #330's and MB750s?  Im in Missouri too---so our #330 have to be completely submerged.
Thanks in advance!!
