270 or 25/06 ultra

i want to buy a new ultra hunter  but cant decide 270 or 25/06  it will be my deer gun and my varmint gun?  also what scope size for  this application

FATTTTDADDY,I recommend the 25-06....plenty of punch for deer out to 400 yards and still small enough for varmints

i'll let the varmint hunters suggest a scope (I've got a bushnell 3-9X40,buy I only hunt deer and am about to start hunting coyotes,and they are MUCH larger than P-dogs and 'chucks)
