Any new bigfoot news???
« on: December 13, 2005, 03:59:14 AM »
Any new or old stories that anyone wants to share here?

I just went on a hunt in the wilds and there were no other people around for miles and all we heard were tree knocking from one side of the valley above us and it was answered on the other side off from a distance. The road we were on is the only way in and out and there were no other tracks in the snow but ours.  Its an errie feeling to hear the tree knocking and you know whats out there. Its always that first knock that has you think no it can't be but then it gets answered from a distance and it assures you whats happening.  I have no clue as to what it means but maybe they are saying there are humans present. Otherwise its been quiet with nothing else happening like no screams just tree knocking.

Hi D MANN :D
you hit the nail right on the head. Very good observation.
I myself, have nothing of interest to report, its been rather slow on the bigfoot hunt.
However I meet a rather interesting person, last month. He is a preacher, and for extra income he happens to work for a propane company, that fills my propane tank. Well as we were visiting while he filled my tank, we talked about the good turkey hunting, and deer season that we have experienced. As usually, I brought the conversation around to bigfoot, and thinking I would get a good ribbing out of him, instead was quite surprized that he also believed in them. He had a hair raising story that he told me, and I would like to report it as he told me.

This incident happened in the fall of 2001. Their was four of them, including him, that were camping out for the night at Tag hollow near Spavinaw Okla. They had heard of the excellent fishing but had never been their before. Alot of the people that had been their said their was some kind of animal that kept scaring everybody away.Tag hollow has a really neat little creek that runs through it for miles, and is an excellent fishing hole for the people that knows its their.  The creek runs deep in the canyon of Tag hollow, for miles. Their is no houses or people for miles and miles, its very remote.
They figured that since their was 4 of them, and all armed, that they would be OK, and not be scared. Well just after dark on the first night of the campout, it started. They were sitting around the fire on the creek , just finishing a nice meal of the fish they had just ate, and enjoying a pot of coffee, as the creek flowed by, with a gorgeous full moon shining down on them. All of a sudden, from across the creek in the dark woods, they heard the tree knocking and a few grunts, howls. They thought at first it was some kids trying to scare them, but they knew their was no way for anybody to get over in that heavy cover with out them not noticing them first.
They didn't get uneasy until the screaming roaring started and then the splashing of them coming across the creek at them. He told me that,---yes they were armed, but they was afraid that if they shot, that it could have been some partyers, and they didn't want to have killed some people by mistake. Well the creatures kepped getting closer, and after some point, they could make out in the full moon light, that these were not people but hugh monkeys. They ran for their lives. They never fired a shot. And didn't go back till the next day to pick up their belongings, that they had left behind, which were torn to shreds.

He said that they  still meet in a cafe, in Adair, and have coffee around a table, and it never fails, that the conversation of that spooky night is still brought up .

Now one of the local farmers, that happen to come in the cafe, heard them talking about the story, and he goes out to his truck and returns with a strange skull, that he found in his pasture. A skull (the preacher said), that resembled a cave man skull, with protuding eye browns and hugh molars and incisors for teeth. They all couldn't believe what the old farmer was showing them, when out of the hushed room of onlookers, came a game ranger of the area, that was sitting their having coffee listenign to the story. He confiscated the bucket with the skull of the bigfoot in it, and told them it was states evidence.
They never seen the skull again, and the ranger got promoted to a state senate seat, and never talked about it again. So when we do find evidence, its, best to keep our mouth shut, or someone will try to take it away from us.

True story

The funny part is my kid has heard the screams once and he was in his stand when the tree knocking was going on. He's kind of doubtful at times but now he is  comming around. And when he came back he said did you hear the tree knocking? He said it was above us and on the other side of the valley far away.

I experienced the tree knocking and the intimidating behavior in the woods back in 1997, during a backpack elk hunt in the Mt. Zirkel wilderness area in the Routt National Forest, above Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

That was a life changing experience, that I will never forget.  These animals do exist, and the doubters are the ones who never get out from behind the relative comfort of their computer screens.

Im a doubter and I spend as much or more time out in the woods as anyone on this site, why would the Govt be so interested in keeping them a secret? You ever consider this tree knocking might be a woodpecker and an echo?I have seen them *working over a hollow tree and heard thier echo come back from a distance, sounds just like what you described. An d then the ranger that went from game warden to senator for confiscating a bigfoot skull?LOL I am a 6th generation Montanan and my familys homesteaded and made thier livings in very remote parts of the state, after 6 generations wandering the woods, hunting, ranching, mining, trapping, ect, ect not one incident of a sighting of an unidentifiable creature or even a track in the snow. That is a true story.Just because someone doubts the existance of a 7 foot tall primate that has existed for millions of years without leaving one trace of thier existance, and the ensuing 100 year long govt cover up doesnt mean we are hiding behind anything,it just means we have enough sense to keep our mouths shut and let you believers entertain us.

In 1971 I was lucky enough to participate in an archeological dig in SW NM- the Gila wilderness area. One day while we were taking a break this old Bronco pulls up and this young guy gets out with a day pack. He introduces himself and says he is part of a Geology team from UNM. We shoot the breeze for a while and finally he says what do you think of this? and dumps the contents of his pack on our camp table. Out pours 3 plaster casts of what appear to be human like footprints. All right foot- 3 diff. sizes. Biggest one is 16" x 10" across the ball, next is approx. 13" x 8" or so and the smallest is about the size of my #11. He says these prints along with multiple species of animal tracks were found in volcanic rock at what was apparently an ancient watering hole. We tried to get the location out of him, but he wouldn't tell. We never saw him again and that was that. Interesting. I later did a research paper for an anthropology class at NMSU. There are lots of accounts, sightings, unexplanable occurances that have been reported. Too many in too many places for something not to be out there. I believe they exist, but I also am troubled by the relative scarcity of tracks.

One other episode, when I lived in Idaho in 1992. This one made the paper. This was in the wheat country around Craigmont. Down in the canyon on the way to Lewiston, there is a little museum in Lapwai, I believe. One afternoon as the curator, the security guard and one of the ladys that worked there were closing up and walking to the parking lot, one of them happened to look up on the top of the canyon. This is all plowed ground getting ready for winter wheat. Striding across the field, headed up toward the crest is a big, black, hairy, upright, bipedal creature. Big stride, big arm swing, the whole deal. No alcohol, 3 sober folks, one schooled in archeology or anthropology or some such. all 3 saw the same thing at the same time. Again interesting.

Hi DirtyDan :D
Very interesting story, and thanks. There is a lot of people that see these Bigfeet, but are afraid of ridicule, so they wont come forward with what they see. I`m getting alot of reports from the locals out here where I live, that wouldnt tell me before when I first met them.

Good report and do you have anymore?

There is a guy my dad knows who thought he saw one back in the 70,s,he said it hooted at him "just like an owl",this is the same guy that shot a 1200 pound black angus when he mistook it for a black bear. You might want to contact him and get the details of his encounter and list them on your sites.I also have an aunt down in Nevada that has comunicated with alien beings and is waiting for the mother ship to pick her up and take her to heaven, she might have some inside info on bigfoot for you,Im sure the alien beings have taken specimens for thier collection.I dont give a damn if my best buddy told me he saw one until I see some evidence, first hand,I will not believe in a being that exists yet has never been captured, killed, found dead, photographed or filmed.Ill bet you were all heart broke when you found out that old film was a hoax...

With all the cover up do you think that film is a hoax or just another cover up by saying it is?  Like i said if there was one seen and proven facts were presented there would be @ssholes and elbows with rolls of toilet paper looking for it too.  Just what we need in our forests.

As far as tracks I'm having a hard time trying to find tracks too. But i did see some strange tracks once in the snow in an area were we encountered something big moving away very fast. This isn't far away from where the campers were run out of the woods by something screaming at them on the bigfoot reporting site too. This is a very thick wooded over grown forest and the sight distance is very short. Once its off the logging/fire access road its gone. The terrain sucks too the verticals are unpassable for me anyway. Its there in a good spot. The ground is too hard at my camp to see tracks when the snow cover is gone.  Maybe it has gotten that smart now to avoid leaving tracks when it can?

NONYA, I'm gonna tell you what I've told several who came here doing and saying what you are now.

This forum is NOT for you. It is for those who actually do believe and wish to have a discussion on the matter. If all you have to add is the kinda stuff you're doing then please don't use this particular forum on the site. I have a few forums on here that are on rather controversial subjects. They are stated as being for folks who do believe in those things. This is one of them. So if you have nothing of value to add please just don't post on this one forum.

Like you I'm not yet convinced and probably won't be unless and until such time as I actually have a personal encounter. I'm willing to believe should the proper evidence come along. Until then I read and listen and sort out for myself what to believe and not believe but I don't put down those who are posting.

And neither sir are you going to on this forum.

If you wish to make those type statements I'd suggest either the Pot Bellied Stove Forum or the Humor and Off Topic Forum to you. On either you can make all the negative references you wish to "in general" those who believe in space aliens, big foot or whatever. But no where on this site are you free to make personal attacks on any GBO member. If you want to put down the folks who believe in such matters in a general way those forums are the place for it. Don't be surprised tho if none of the folks who post their stories here comes over to argue with you.

When a Bigfoot beats on a tree, its alway from one to 6 knocks, in a session. Now he might repeat the process many times during a 2 ---30 minute session, but no more. The knocking would be like, knock--------knock, knock, knock. thats it, or a 2x2 session or even a 3x3. But not continous for a long period like a wood pecker. Listen very carefully, to hear an answer from distance away. Sometimes you will.

I have never seen one.  I have never heard one.  This forum is the first place I have heard about the "knocking".

I have spent a lot of time in the woods in Washington, Oregon, and Northern California.  I have spent some time in the woods up in BC, but not enough to experience everything.

I have seen live bear, moose, elk, deer, bob-cats, coyotes, sheep, goats, etc.

I have never seen a wild cougar, but I do believe they are there.  A guy I work with brings in photos every year when he gets one near where he grew up.  I tracked a deer hair trail once and surmised it could have only been a cougar that could have killed that deer, carried it, and then partially buried it.

I have never seen a bigfoot, but I do belive they are there.  There is a gal at work who saw one once.  Even got some folks from UW in on that sighting.  They got plaster casts of the prints, hair, everything.  I called her a liar until she showed me the film.  It wasn't so much the filming of the casting of the prints and filming of them finding hair where she told them it had been.  It was the way she reacted and the fear on her face and tears in her eyes while we were watching that 10 year old video that made me believe she really saw something that scared her $hitle$$.

I have also talked to guys who have drift fished rivers in WA.  They had rocks thrown at them that were the size of basketballs and bigger.  They were not near an area where they could have come from a landslide, they came flying out of the trees on flat ground.  I thought it must have been tree huggers keeping the fishermen away from that area.  They said they thought that too, especially after they watched a tree go over.   Maybe a trebushe or similar device throwing those rocks.  Of course they got mad and ran up there.  When they found a tree about a foot in diameter just splintered at the base with no signs of ropes, cables etc, they headed for the river and never looked back.

I have seen winter kill deer, poacher leftovers, and wounded animals that never made it.  I have never found a deer or elk in the woods that died from old age, although there have to be some.  I have never seen a dead bear or cougar, although I have spents weeks in areas where they were known to live.

Bigfoot is out there, I just haven't been in the right place at the right time to see it for myself.

Everytime I hear the Knocking comming from one direction its answered from a distance in the other direction.  Its funny too this is in the wilds were no one lives.  I'm the only place in the area that exsists.  At first i say no way when i hear it but the knocking comming from a distance in the other direction sure raises my attention that there is something out there calling each other the best way they can.

BTW;  They have to knock because they can't call 1-800-collect right?  Lets face it bigfeet have cell phones with no fees or charges right? Gosh i crack myself up? :-D

Now as far as mountainlions/cougars these are the hardest animals to see because they are very elusive and they avoid us at all costs.  I just seen another one a few weeks ago at my camp at night.  Yup these things don't exsist so the state says but my neighbor is seeing them too and she is from the midwest and she says she has seen them all of her life out there so she knows what they look like.  If they are so elusive why can't bigfoot be too? It took me many years to see a mountainlion after i seen the first tracks of them.  I can find them know because i know were to look and the direction they move in.(tracks)

As I said in some of my very first posts just the constant smell of bacon frying seems to attract them.  I always had the feeling of being watched and followed even on hikes with the family I could hear noises from above us on the ridge as we walked in and out it stayed with us. I always had my 357 snubbie in my pocket. It started getting worse the more i fried bacon it seems to come closer and thats when the screams and tree knocking started. I have the place since '86 and i can't remember when the being followed started.  When me and my brother would hunt it would follow us too in and out of the forest as we walked down the old loggin/access road.  We would occasionally go up the mountain but we never seen anything not even a track.  But there was deer and bear tracks which is the norm. My point is I think that frying bacon or cooking pork seems to be a key factor in attracting them.

There are several guys in WA state that accidentally leave their breakfast bacon on stumps.   Their forgetfulness has brought them several nice bear.  I will warn them about the bigfoot!!   :)
