when there on the board?
« on: January 12, 2006, 11:59:05 AM »
my beaver has been on the plywood board almost a week now, had very little grease come up on the leather side so i guess i clean skinned him fairly well. anyhow he has tightened up considerably and has turned real dark color almost blackish.  is this a good leather color or is he  not prime yet?   his fur seemed to be real thick when i skinned him also i measured him or the board and he is 64" length plus width.

Dark leather,is a sign of unprime.Dont get real shook up about it, our beaver in Minnesota ,are just reaching primeness.Straight haired beaver(fall) beaver, are still selling well.
