i got the smart one.i believe it was him anyway someone stole him my trap and drag with 8 ft. of chain. whoever got him left a lot of sign of there presence.the reason i think it was him was he dug into another set close by.i had another set with your lure and baited with beaver meat.with the trap between two old logs that were already laying there i set ther trap about 3 ft.in front of the hole.the logs were a natural guide i could see where he was hung up.as he tore the place up pretty good.and no more drag marks anywhere else. here is a couple of pics.

the pics dont show it good the place was tore up worse than they show.

:cry: Thats too bad he got stolen so you couldn't see if he had toes or a foot missing. I remember working on one of the craftiest coyotes I ever encountered and finally tricked him after several tries However, I followed the drag mark eagerly to see this crafty old 'yote and where he was tangled I found blood where someone shot him. This was in the bounty days so my partner and I went to the DNR office where coyotes were bountied and ask if anyone was in that day to bounty a coyote. The DNR officer said there was someone in the back room right then making out the paper work. We went back for a look and here is this big, old coyote, so old teeth rotted out and toes off from two feet and one foot missing completely. We couldn't prove it was ours even though we knew it was and so did the DNR officer. Ace

i think its the same person that stole 4 of my traps a couple weeks ago.im gonna set some where he is sure to find them.and watch them and video tape him.or maybe an ass load of buckshot!!
