I have a crosman 766 10 pump I believe the seals are bad. It worked fine until I oiled it and then it started leaking air out of the barrel while it was being pumped. Does this sound like the seals? If so where can I get the seals and a diagram of how to get the old out and the new in? I have tried and cannot figure it out and dont want to break anything. thanks, andy

Call Crosman at 1-800-724-7486 they are normally very helpful and may send you the diagram after which you can order the seals.
Or else do a yahoo search for Crosman airgun forum (new) there are a lot of tips on how to fix your rifle, in fact you can ask someone to help you fix it.

Andy, how did it work out with your 766? Did you end up taking it apart and fixing it?

I still have not been able to get it totally broken down. I cant get the piston out. I dont know if that is the right part name, but its the piece that moves when you pump the stock. I am trying to get a diagram of the gun so that I dont break or disassemble it wrong. If you can help I would really appreciate it. thanks

If this is somewhat like the 2100 then you need to take a look at the place where the pump arm fits. I think it has a pin holding the assembly in. You can take the pin out by hammering it out with a nail or a proper punch pin. Then your whole assembly should come out if you pull the pump handle slowly. Please check if there is a pin at the forend of the air tube. My term for the tube under the barrel. The check valve and all lie inside this tube just push it out with a wooden dowel. Don't use any oil near the check valve assembly unless it is Crosman Pellgun oil. The o-rings are very sensitive and will get worn out with the wrong oil in minutes. I hope you fins this helpful.

Find out which variation you have - first one had a plastic barrel cover, 2nd one had a metal barrel cover, third one had a steel barrel. I think this is the 3 variations. But this page will give you all the breakdown diagrams.
