Shot a nice buck last weekend (no antlers?). That was the good news. The bad was that it took longer for the deer to go down than I would have liked. One of the men with me suggested 00 instead of 000. He stated the smaller diameter and extra pellets would go farther than the heavier larger diameter 000. My thought was that if the stated velocity on a shell (12gs 3") was 1600FPS, it would be the same with either pellet, and that although the 00 will have less drop, it would slow down faster. Anybody with more experiencel have an opinion. This was the first deer I have taken with buckshot. Thanks Curly
