When you come back from hunting or fishing, don't put your rods, tackle box, gun, or baby in a car seat, for that matter, on the roof of your car/truck while you look for your keys. Instead, put them on the hood where you'll see them before you drive off.

I was going to church one Sunday night when I forgot something in the house. I put my Colt .45 on my bumper of my truck and ran back in the house. When I got home from church, I couldn't find my gun. I looked in the house and all in the truck. I suddenly remembered putting it on the bumper and went out with a flashlight holding my breath. There it was, still sitting on the bumper. :eek: :-D

I kinda enjoyed walkin back a quarter mile or so retrieving that spent rifle brass spread out every few feet.
