New Deer Huntin Knife
« on: June 29, 2006, 07:46:46 AM »
Hi folks,

Just wanted to show everyone my new custom-made deer huntin knife from Mike at Javelina Knives.  Handle material is green micarta & giraffe bone.  I can't wait to get out in the field with it!

The knife is 9" long, blade is 4 1/4".  The steel is ATS-34 Stainless Steel.. The handle is sandblasted & polished, and the blade also has a matte sandblasted finish.  The sheath is also hand made..  The knife is the sharpest I have ever felt, and it's really hard to test it's sharpness without realling screwing up your finger.  He mentioned he will provide lifetime sharpening on them, too.

He does a real nice job, and I am sure I will end up ordering another one from him real soon.  If you have any questions about a knife purchase with Mike, would be happy to try and answer them for you from the customer angle.  Another happy customer was JJHACK, the South African PH over in the Africa Hunting forum.

Have a good one!
