As I have mentioned before on here, I have a TC Hawken, .45 caliber which I would like to use to get back into traditional muzzle loading. I built it from a kit in high school, some 25 years ago. I want to work up some loads for it to see how accurate I can be with it. Any suggestions on where to start? I realize everyone is different, but what have some of you found to be the most accurate combinations? Am I more likely to find it most accurate with roundballs or Maxi balls? What distance should I be shooting to determine how accurate the loads are? I appreciate your suggestions.
