the wife shoots the new 22 rimfire off hand
« on: April 30, 2006, 12:25:25 PM »
howdy!

in celebration of moving back up to the lake last week, i picked up a new 22 rimfire handi today for the wife (great excuse!) and shot up some paper plates off hand at 50 yards! she did pretty good for herself.

the pix's should be below, at least i think they should be, i followed all the directions on the picture upload page.

anyway, we both took ten shots using federal spitfires off hand with iron sights at 50 yards, it took me a few shots to figure out were the gun was shooting, but the wife, having shot a gun maybe once before, did pretty darn good!

Not to bad at all for offhand and iron sites , throw a nice scope on it and some sand bags and you will be amazed at what it will do at 100 yards .  :D

hi tim -

hey thanks! i paced off the distance from where we shot to the target and it was 47 yards, so i stand self-corrected!

still it was fun, i had so much fun with my wife sharing a hour together with no distractions that i hope she will stick with it.

here's a view from the loft tonight, we had a nice sunset.

New NEF Sportster: $110

Brick of .22's: $12

Pack of paper plates (targets): $3

Target shooting with the wife at a beautiful mountain cabin and watching a wonderful sunset across a lake afterward:  Priceless!

Sorry, couldn't resist.
