Scope mount for a 92?
« on: March 25, 2003, 09:09:50 AM »
I have a Rossi 92 in 357 mag.  I want to do some load development with it to get a good accurate loads for Cowboy Silhouette.  It would be nice if I could get some kind of a scope mount so I can eliminate the variables associated with open sights and old eyes.

I could go with a scout type mount that clamps on the barrel or maybe something that would mount in the receiver sight mount holes.  I don't want to do any drilling or tapping on it though.

Any suggestions?

You can only hit the target if the barrel is pointed in the right direction when the bullet leaves the barrel.

I have a B Square side mount one I am not going to use nib.  Only way I know to  mount a scope on a 92, it would work ok for load development. email me if you are interested in it.  Mine was for a 454,  that might be the only problem, you might want to take a look at their web site.

If you find a source for scout mounts for the 92s I sure would be interested in hearing about it

Try the Ashley scout style mount. Haven't used it but it looks pretty good.
