Mossberg 500 barrel swap
« on: January 20, 2006, 09:37:26 AM »
I have a 12ga Mossberg 500, Persuader model, with an 8 round capacity and a 20 1/2" cylinder bore barrel. It's a nice bedroom gun but not good for much else. I would like to swap on a longer barrel w/ interchangable choke tubes for use on clays. My problem is, due to the longer magazine tube I am concerned the new barrel won't mount up. What will I need to change on the gun to make it work?
Also what barrel/choke comb would my best bet to use as a rifled slug setup?
My friends have always been there for me. They encourage me to make new mistakes instead of the same old ones.
