I assume some of you Quigley Down Under fans, which I’m certainly one of, have seen the movie VALDEZ IS COMING with Bert Lancaster as Valdez. If you haven’t you need to. It was made and 1970 or ’71 and Bert does a great job of acting. I especially liked the scene with Valdez hand loading his Sharps .50 caliber ammo and subsequently picking off a few of the bad guys at up to 1000 yd. The whole movie is excellent and as far as I can tell, being no expert on the subject, a good job was done on period-correct firearms and attire. The villain is well played, a guy you can really hate.

Nope, it leaves you with the assumption that Frank Tanner (the villian) was too cowardly to draw and his girlfriend did no go back to him.  If I had any complaints about the movie it was the ending.  There were a few other times when it was obvious a portion was cut out, likely to make it fit into a time window.  I play it every once in a while along with Quigley Down Under when I need my BPCR fix.  Are there any other movies you are aware of similar quality with long-range Sharp shooting scenes?

One of my favorites is a movie that I can not remember the title to.  It stars Stewart Granger and Robert Taylor?  It is about the last buffalo hunt of a hunter (Stewart Granger)  who is really burnt out on killing the great beasts but agrees to go on one last hunt with the newbie (Robert Taylor).  It shows them shooting over cross sticks etc.  I haven't seen it or been able to find it in a video store for years, but it is a great one.  Does anyone of you other old farts like me remember the name of the Movie??

Not a BPCR movie or even a western is "Rancho Delux".
The 2 main characters are ran out of a girl's house by her father and they steal his Thunderbird to get away.  They drive out to the back country and
do some serious Tbird vandalism with a .50 cal. Sharps. Rated R at least.
Made about 1969.
