Dan Wesson Model 15 357 mag
« on: October 31, 2005, 09:38:13 AM »
I looked at a used one yesterday at a local sporting goods store. It is in fair-good condition, it shows a little use but not abuse. They were asking $529.00 for it. Any comments on this gun or ant suggestions. Reliability, strength, accuracy are priorities.

You will probably not find a more reliable, stronger, or more accurate 357 at any price.  The stated price on this one is way too high.  Should be less that $300 unless it includes extra barrels and other accesories.

Entire pistol packs run around 600.. A good blued model 15 usualy go around 300 bucks or even less. They are under rated and usualy a good deal..Way to high! Keep looking.. A nice one will soon fall in your lap at a good price. Good luck. I have two Dan wessons. A model 15 and 14.. love them both..

Could not find many Dan Wessons locally. I ended up buying a Ruger Superblackhawk 7 1/2 SS model in 44 mag for 219.00 at Gander Mt. Very pleased and may add a another gun come spring. Thanks for your replies.

This is more like it.. Picked her up the other day.. all I can say is wow.. Bluing is excelent. Not a wear spot on the thing. Like new. better that described. Pictur does not do it justice. The cylinder was a bitt stiff opening as well as a slight tap to the extractor was needed. This thing has not been used in some time. The normal drum lock line around the cylinder is almost noexsistant. Cant wait to see if she groups as well as she looks.
