Are the medium Zee rings high enough to clear a Sightron S2 1.5-6x42 scope on the 223 Ultra barrel?

I don't have that one Ian, but looking at the pic, the small power ring would probably be fine. It looks real close to my S1 3-9x40 which is mounted in Mediums on my .270 Handi......FWIW.

Your medium rings will give you more than enough clearance.

My SII 3-9x42 has med rings, but my custom single bases are a full 1/8 lower than the Handi rail and I still have room under the hammer.

You will like that scope. SI and SII use the same rear housings and power rings. See if I can find a pics.
