crossman 1377 or benjamin b17/b22
« on: January 22, 2006, 03:49:56 AM »
Was ready to order the crossman until I saw ad for benjamin air pistols.
They cost a little more but are wood and metal instead of plastic.
I have not seen either except on-line ads so would like opinons whether the benjamin is better gun for the money.  By the way, it will be for closer range quiet squirrel hunting around the yard.

The Crosman is your best bet. The Benji is expensive, the sights suck, the trigger isn't all that good either, and its a lot harder to pump than the 1377. The Crosman sights are a bit better, the trigger is better, and most of the deficiencies in the 1377 can be corrected, unlike the Benji. Lots of possibilities for upgrades and improvements are available for the 1377.

Thanks for helping me decide on the crossman.
I was leaning towards it initially and since it is less expensive, I'm even happier. :D
