I just bought me a H&R 450 Marlin Ultra Hunter. Buying this gun has started a fever and lots of questions with it. I was thinking about buying another barrel maybe in a varmit caliber, say like a 223. My question is, I have sighted this barrel with my simmons aetec on top of it. I know when I take the barrel off the scope goes with it. When I take it off will the sights change at all when I go to put it back on? I know to take it off you have to pull the screw out of the bottom and I was wondering if that would change anything. If so, wouldnt I be better off in just buying another handi?

I think the handi rifles are the coolest. I have toted several bolt actions into the woods and always have cussed them for being too long and heavy up in the trees. These handi rifles are compact, and great for hunting out of stands. I love it. Its the only rifle at this time that I feel I will ever need for the hunting and plinking I do.
