Hey guys Im thinking of setting up a 12 gauge encore barrel for turkey  and predator hunting at night.

I do a lot of predator hunting at night with a spotlight and had trouble lining up for quick shots short ran shots (under 40 yards )while handling the call, light and shotgun.

Will the TC line of scopes hold zero under the pressure of the 3" mag turkey loads and buckshot I use.

Im thinking the 1X would work well for my intended purpose.

Any other recommendations? What do you guys with experience think?

Any insight would be helpful.

I think you may be on the right track getting a scope for your setup. I don't have any experience with TC scopes but I think they are billed as muzzleloader scopes so they should handle the recoil. Make sure you check the eye relief because I was considering a 3x9 for my Encore ML
and the eye relief is listed at 3 inches. That is really borderline for a 12 gauge. You might also consider a red dot sight.

I have several of the pistol scopes that perform well.  I have never had one go bad due to recoil.  For the price they are a good scope IMHO.

I have a TC scope on a 357 Herret that has performed well.  When I get my 460 S&W barrel I'll go with either another TC scope or with a Leupold.

In regards to lights for night hunting, I have a NightBlaster light that mounts with a plastic clip on the scope.  Even with the red filter in place, I'm easily able to see a 100 yard target through the scope.  This saves having to control both gun and light.
