« on: January 24, 2006, 10:08:19 PM »
Hey everyone,
I am new to this sight and just wanted to put in a hello. Sitting over in the desert thinking about hunting and fishing in the great state of AK!!
THis is my first year as a resident of the state. I am stationed on Fort WainWright. Been trying to get there for 12 yrs and have finally made it...
Hope everyone had a successfull hunting season and winter hasn't been to hard.
Great website and am looking forward to reading and sharing thoughts
Everyone take care!

Just finished reading what DaveintheBush has done for a few lucky hunters and want to say that was a great thing for someone to do. You thank us for what us Soldiers do, I want to thank you guys for the unselfish support that you hunters and Alaskans give to us. Most of us see this as an important job and it feels great to hear people say thanks.
Thank you for the Support!!!!

Welcome aboard Plentycoupe.  Alaska is truly a great state and you'll get a lot from the folks on this board.

Welcome.  I trust your stay in AK will be "eventful" only in the good things.

Although we have already chatted a bit, WELCOME.  Lots of nice folks on GB and lots of help here.  Hopefully you will be home soon.  Take it easy over there.  Hard to tell who the enemy is when they are all 5 foot tall, brown eyes, black hair, wear black pajamas, straw hats and have slanted eyes.  Oop's.......that was my war.  But you know what I mean. :D
