Is there a rimless or semi rimless case that can handle 500S&W Bullets?

I should have thought of that! DOH!!!  But what I'm interest in is a case  that is use in a bolt action rifle and be the same length or longer than a 500 S&W.

How about punching a 458 magnum to straight wall case. That would give an outside diameter at the mouth of .513. It would require inside reaming of the neck for the .500" bullet and it would be a thin neck but it would give you a lot more powder space.....

Probably not as workable as one would like and you should look for a case with .013 to .015 (OD=.526-.530) wall thickness instead of .0065 (OD=.513) that the magnum cartridge will provide.

Hodgdon, Lyman, Speer, Sierra, Hornady = reliable resources
so and so's pages on the internet = not reliable resources
Alway check loads you find on the internet against manuals.
NEVER exceed maximum listed loads.

50 Beowulf. Check out Alexander Arms for info. It's like a much longer 50 AE with a rebated rim to fit an AR-15 bolt. Sure would make a good pig gun in a lightweight bolt gun!
