Gobbler or Bearded Hen
« on: February 01, 2006, 12:45:48 PM »
There is a flock of about 25 birds that come through my yard every morning on their way to the fields where they pick through the manure for grain and hay seeds!

In this flock there are four Jakes, one 6-inch Gobbler and one 6-inch Hen!

QUESTION:  If you had the chance, would you take the Gobbler or the Bearded Hen?

NOTE:  Anything I've read, says a Bearded Hen is legal!

The flock goes by, within 10 feet of the window in my reloading room, IMAGINE THAT!

I think it would be neat to have a Bearded Hen for the trophy, but I think I'll go for the Gobbler!
Season don't open till May!

I think a full body mount of the beared hen would make a heck of a conversation piece.  I definately would take the hen if the gobbler doesn't have a real long beard.
