New shop = No H&Rs
« on: January 31, 2006, 09:17:14 AM »
We got a new gun shop here in town so i stoped in to see what he had , Well no H&Rs and will not even order them / strike 1 .

Mostly high end tac. stuff like AR-15s and sig 's . Did have a nice 22lr/mag wheel gun for $2oo and a sign that said 60 day lay- away , I only had about 100 on me so i asked about the lay-away and he said it was for guns over 300 / strike 2 .  :(

Went in looking for some powder and guess what - no powder / strike 3 .

Good thing the gun show is this weekend , Don;t think i;ll be going back there any more .

Hey "...Stimply..."
Punish this guy by not doing business with him; that'll show him. "...I'll tell two people and they'll each tell two people and they so and on..."

Would be interesting to drop back by in 6 months to a year and see what has changed--if he is still open.
I take it that there are alot of reloaders in your area?
I like the nef and rossi rifles but i do know of one shop that will order them for you but will state up front that they will not honor any return on the handi's. Something about refunds or the shipping eating them up to send them back to nef.
Said most problems have been with stuck chambers and broken transfer bars.
I told them that building a good customer base by doing those things could off-set any loses.

He may make 6 weeks if he is lucky , he does have some guys from the local gun club that will only buy the high dollar / big name guns .

He does have location going for him but thats about it . I guess i'll just stick with the gun show , it happens just about every month .

Their prices are better too .

Stimply,

Where is the show at? Is it up there in Lima where you are? I am down in Kettering and I didn't know there was one this coming weekend.

greg if you go to it , for me the magic word is "trade" if your wanting to do deals with the tables but if your looking to buy get the guys walking around caz most the tables are stiff old men who's prices are high.

if you like to gunshow a lot an other real good one is westland mall, its only 3 times a year but most of the times you can find a handi walking around for next to nothing.
