Have a Ruger with a lam. Stock. Love everything about the gun except that is toooo slick. Thought about sending it off to get some checkering on it.

You might ahave a go at doing it yourself? or perhaps some of the self-adhesive pads made of neoprene. I've used the pads on several rifles that need to be easily grasped and used with gloves and they work extremely well! See Brownells for the pads..mine have shown no looseness in several years of use..
