 Any one know of a good website which lists and explains all sets?
AND
A good site to buy used traps.

Traps4Kids is the site you want.  Go to their home page, scroll down and on the left click on the basic sets links.  They have clear drawings on how to make most popular sets.

Used traps?  Most message boards have a "trap shed" or something similiar where guys advertise used traps for sale or trade.   Failing that, you can go the ebay route.  Plenty of used traps being sold on ebay every day.
