You will probably get mixed replies on this, but I'm going to wait for several months or a year and listen closely to what people say on sites like this, and in magazine reviews.
I was also interested in what Kahr has done since they took over, so went ot the local gun store/shooting range, in which case they happen to stock these, they had a dozen of them there, all brand new.
I asked to see one...the guy picked it up and the clip fell out and hit the glass top on the diplay case. Upon further investigation, the mag release was busted, or not working, it would not hold the clip in.
OK, lets see another coupld of these...he brought out a couple more of them. The front of the slide, on the bottom, were scratched up on one, and scuffed up on the other, from the slide being racked. It seems the frame was rubbing there when the slide is racked. I mentioned this, and the seller said something like that was normal. I said something like, that was poor fitting, and none of my 1911's get the finish all wore off the slide from rubbing on the frame while racking them, or shooting them.
My finish gets wore off from holster wear, not because of poor fitting in that area.
Now...this is just one report from one guy, me.....and just one place, but out of the three I handled, one was defective, and two were poorly fitted.
So you can get other opinions here, but I'm just telling you what I found.
