How hard is it to swap barrels on a M77 MKII?
« on: February 03, 2006, 07:55:41 AM »
Does anyone know how easy it is to swap a barrel on a Ruger M77 MKII. Im hoping its set up like the 10-22 and easy to change but i doubt it. Anyone ever done this?
I am not afraid to make an example out of you

Which "M77 MkII"?  The Ruger M77 MkII barrels (but not the M77/22's) have the normal threaded chamber ends and are screwed very tightly into the receiver.  You will need an action wrench, a barrel wrench, and a bench to bolt it all to.   The M77/22 has the barrel attached in a manner similar to the 10/22.
