Well went beaver trapping this weekend. Didn't take any trap that wouldn't catch a beaver. I took three 330s and a number 3 long spring. I set two of my 330s in castor mound sets, 1 of them at the bottom of a beaver dam crossover, and my number 3 at a castor mound set. The next morning my two 330s over the castor mounds were froze up so they were out of comission. My number 3 was at the bottom of the drownwire and I pulled up a muskrat. Not what I was expecting. And my beaver dam crossover produced my first beaver. A fairly small one, but probally 30 pounds I am guessing. I didn't care about the size I am just glad I finally got him.
