3030 w/ williams peep - report
« on: February 05, 2006, 09:00:05 AM »
Bought the Williams peep for my 3030 handi.  $58.00 plus ship.  I am able to use the front site.  Went to the range yesterday with my son to try 'er out.  We had a "warm day" yesterday, about 40.  Fired about 10 shots, brought the gun quickly into 1 1/2 " groups on the 50 yard range.  I really like the way she handles with that peep.  We will see this spring, when it gets a little warmer, but I would be happy with 3" at 100.  I know all lot of folks that wouldnt be, but it will work for what I want.  My 13 yo son got a little bored so we broke out the .223 handi w/ 3x9 and he had fun bustin clays on the berm!  As did I with my little 3030!  Quick nice handling!   Will make a good woods rifle in the thick stuff we have so much of in maine.  I think I need another handi! ...maybe a 308 for son!

A guy at the range saw my .223 on the bench, he asked is that an Encore?  I said its just like an Encore, except more accurate and 1/2 the cost!
