I recently acquired a 14 inch Contender barrel in 358 JDJ.  I have reloading info for jacketed bullets.  Is anybody reloading cast in this cartridge, and/or is there any reloading information available for cast?

Thanks in advance.

hunter, I tried 200 and 250 grain (358315 & 358318) bullets in mine. I started at minimum jacketed loads and worked up to where recoil was uncomfortable. The 358315(200 gr) can be launched at over 2350 fps with a MAX charge of 3031. I did not find the accuracy I want with the cast bullets YET! I asked JD about cast loads in mine "try it if you want to,but you will probably be wasting your time" was his answer.I had a Vais break put on my barrel as The recoil hurts my wrists.I shoot the 44mag and 45-70 with less pain and my loads are quite high in those guns.
