Range Bags?

I need to get a new range bag and could use some suggestions.  I'm primarily a handgunner and enjoy giving my .45's and .22's a good workout at the range.  I need a good bag to organize my stuff.

Dillon makes some good bags, don't personally have one but have seen them. Also, might try shooters connection. The advertisement I have seen on theirs is if you don't like it, they will buy it back. I personally have a bag from Harris Enterprises that I bought at the '91 IPSC nationals. It has been a very good bag. I don't know if they have a website but their phone #is 901-327-4859.
Some of the gun shows I have been to had some really nice range bags for a very reasonable price.

Check out what Gunner's Alley just started carrying last week.  Good looking range bags, IMHO.  I use an MTM CaseGuard pistol box, but it's kinda big.  Been thinking about a new range bag myself.

Bigdaddy, Hit your local ACE harbware or Sears and look at the nylon tool bags. They are about $20. and have some small pockets inside. I have a few Dillion bags which  are nice but pricey( $69. ). I picked them up years ago on a sale but don't remember how much. They have two big side pockets ,one pocket has a pistol pouch that is removable.

BigDaddy:  Southern Utah said it right.  I have some Dillon's stuff and although it is excellent it is pricey.

A couple of years ago I stopped at the Home Depot for something and bought two white canvas carpenter's belts and a canvas tool bag.  The bag has more dang pockets than you can count (enough to hide or loose a couple of magazines and at least one box of ammo), and for range holsters - you got it, the carpenter's belts.  Works for me and nobody says a thing about it (prolly becuase they all know where to buy them.

ps:  loop the tie strings through your belt loops and the carpenter's belts will stay where you want them.  And, if you're shooting 22 or 45, stitch up the nylon hammer loop to hold your pistol (ya got two of them - loops that is).

I use an old gym bag for tools  in my truck and should work excelent for rag bag. They are pretty cheap and come in all sizes and colors. Lots of pockets and I bet if you bought a pretty pink one nobody would steal it at the range.  LOL

Forget the bags and go with a bullseye shooter's 2-gun box. Much better! You can mount an articulated spotting scope mount in it. It's great. The 3-gun boxes are too bulky for most of us.  Champions Choice and Champion Shooter Supply have them. They last forever.

I have about 6 range bags.  When I shoot hand guns I take one, if I shoot rifles I take another and so on. I have bags for my Shiloh sharps and one for my muzzleloader, I also use back packs to hold things in like spotting scope and bi-pod.
