Got my very first Spring turkey permit last week.

Zone 30, may 17th to May 21st.

Zone 30 is near West Bend/Kewaskum area,extending a bit north and East.

Wish me luck. Using my H&R 10ga single shot.

Good luck nixter. Ya gonna grab any of those leftover permits?

Tip: If you see turkeys feeding in a certain area, take note of the time of day. Odds are good that they will be there again tomorrow, same place same time.

Congrats Nixter I applied for the northern section here this is the first year and only 150 permits so I did not get one. Maybe next year or this fall if they have a hunt up here.

Good luck, I live next to zone 30 and see lots of turkeys. You should do all right if you scout some. No extra tags in this part of WI.

An extra permit in zone 28 might be in my future. Closer to home so I can do my own scouting. I have a friend and hunting partner in zone 30, he'll scout there and I'll get zone 28. Hopefully we'll both get extra permits in 28.

Thinking that with good scouting an ambush style of hunting will be effective. Intercept the birds between roost area and feeding areas.

Sounds good in theory...
