.22 question
« on: April 17, 2006, 09:17:13 AM »
this is a question somebody asked on another forum and i thought maybe you folks might know

"A friend of my grandpas asked my grandpa if he would like an old .22 he has (hes getting rid of his guns), but my grandpa only has a POL, so he cant take it. Ive offered to take it, but I cant find any info on the gun.

Its a .22, stamped T. Eatons (as in the now closed store chain), and is 60+ years old.

Since Eatons never actually produced any guns on their own, I was wondering if anyone would know what makes this gun actually is, before Eatons stamped their name on it to sell. A friend suggested it might be a Cooey.

I havent gotten a look at it yet, but apparently its in excellant condition."

any thoughts?

I believe Stevens made those. They made a lot of their Stevens Favorites with store brands back then. This is going on vague memory only, so take it as hearsay until more accurate info surfaces.
