Yamaha ATV Service Manuals On Line???
« on: November 15, 2005, 02:42:45 AM »
Just curious, are the service manuals for Yamaha ATVs on line anywhere?

I have a 2004 Yam Big Bear 400 4WD and would like to read up on some service and repair work that I want to do myself.

My speedo quit working recently. I assume/hope it is something simple like a broken cable.  That should be easy to buy and replace.

Was also wondering where the oil filter screen is located and what is the reccomended process to remove and clean.

Thanks for any info.

are you looking to READ a Service Manual on-line
or
Do you want to BUY one from on-line

you can buy one directly from YAMAHA ($60)
http://www.yamahapubs.com/html/itemsearch.jsp?type=ATV&Year=2004&Brand=BigBear+4x4&model=&x=78&y=11

ya should be able to do simple/general maintainance from your Owners Manual
if you don't have one, Those are Free from YAMAHAs web site but only
to read, not save to your Hard Drive...

is your Speedo cable driven or Electronic ?

 :-)

I just want to read certain sections of the service manual for my ATV when I need to know something.  Don't want to download it.

Owner manual doesn't provide any detailed info, just some general info stuff.

I don't know anything about the speedo on this ATV.  That is one of the things I want to read and learn about in the service manual.

I bought one on Ebay for my 600 grizzly (on CD ROM Media) It was not a nice factory printed CD, but it was inexpensive, and there seems to be ones for most ATV's
