I have the Encore ML, and my brother has both. I like the heck out of mine: best reasults so far are with two Pyrodex 50gr. pellets behind a 245 grain Power Point. Every deer I've shot with this has either been lying right where it was shot or within a very few yards once the smoke cleared.
My brother is actually a better shot with his--I spend much more time with a long bow or recurve, and lots more time with them than he does. And he has taken deer out to about 217 yards with 150 grains Pyrodex and a 300 grain --??--. I can't remember just what he shoots, but it hits with one heck of a whollop.
I think you'll like it. If you are picking up one, be sure when you can to go ahead and get the ML shot gun with the turkey choke. It's a hoot!
